BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL", Event Coordinator Jean Fischaer, South Florida Miata Club
Saturday, February 25th, 2012 will be the Annual Butterfly Festival in Coconut Creek. Members who have joined us in the past,
know it is an event not to be missed. We start by meeting at LaBamba Mexican Restaurant, at 4:00 sharp, located at 5452
West Sample Road. in the Peppertree Plaza in Margate. The service is always quick and efficient and the large variety of food
is plentiful and tasty, and priced right.
Following dinner, we will caravan to the Sabal Palm Park school, located at 5005 N. W. 39th Ave. in Coconut Creek where we
board a shuttle bus (no charge) at 6:30 and be taken to the sight of the event. There will be face painting, rides, games, snacks,
but best of all we will be treated to a live performance by “STYX TRIBUTE BAND” that has always sound like the real thing.
Folding chairs, and blankets, hoola hoops, face paintings, bubble machines and dancing in the isles at the open air park setting
fills the night. At the end of the musical show, we will be treated to one of the best fireworks shows I have ever seen by the
Zambelli Fireworks Display. It is all set to thrilling patriotic music, and is truly a magical night. The best part is the show is it’s all free.
This event is opened to club members, your friends and neighbors. Last years fireworks display was an indescribable spectacular event.
I can’t imagine this year can top the show.
Just in case you did not pig out enough at dinner and at the festival, we have been know to end the evening at a nearby Starbucks.
I’ve done my work, your part is simple… I need to know how many members will be joining us for an accurate head count at the
