Mark your calendars for Sunday, February 7, 2010, for the Southwest Florida Miata Club’s annual Super Bowl Party!
This year, the event will be hosted by Gary and Jean Blessing, 5110 Atlantic Court, Cape Coral. The party will begin at 5:00 PM.
Bring a snack to share and a beverage of your choice. Gary and Jean will supply mini cheeseburgers and all the trimmings.
Plan to attend, watch the game, and share camaraderie with your fellow Miata enthusiasts!
Directions: From Cape Coral Parkway,
Turn south on Coronado.
Turn West on Tower.
Turn North on Atlantic Court.
House is on the west side of the street, about ¾ of the way down the block.

2nd Annual Chili Cookoff (Soller Style)
When: Saturday March 6th starting at 1pm.
Where: Jim and Lynne Soller's home - 817 Oak Vista Drive, Sarasota, FL (941-488-0453)
There will be three catagories of judging - Best Overall, Spiciest and Most Unique.
If you wish to be a volunteer chef please let Jim and Lynne know as soon as possible.
If you just want to come and eat chili, give them a call to signup up for the event or email them at sollerarch@verizon.net.
Group Travel Plan:
There will be a group meeting at the McDonald's at the Jones Loop exit off I75 at noon to caravan north.
If you wish to meet us there, please let Steve and Cindy Brown know so we don't leave you behind.

Saturday March 13th , 2010,from 11AM to 4pm, "Annual Picnic and Business Meeting", Sponsored by Miata Club of Southwest Florida.
The board of directors of the Miata Club of Southwest Florida, “Miata Meanderers” are pleased to announce the annual picnic
and business meeting to elect new officers will take place at the Lakes Regional Park on Saturday March 13th from 11:00 am to 4:00pm.
Lakes Regional Park is located at 7330 Gladiolus Dr. Ft. Myers, FL. 33908. (Gladiolus Drive just West of U.S. 41).
The club will provide free of charge, a lunch catered by Sonny’s BBQ that includes Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Sliced Pork,
Baked Beans,
Mac & Cheese, rolls and butter, Sweet Tea and Lemonade. Also, a variety of desserts.
Please feel free to bring your own drinks if you’d like.
We have reserved Pavilion B-2 which provides seating for 90, but feel free to bring your own folding chairs if you’d like.
Parking is $5.00 all day, or, $1.00 per hour, so bring change or dollar bills for the machines in the parking lot.
Use parking lot #2, turn right as you enter the park and lot #2 is the first left.
In addition to great company you‘ll be sharing, the park offers amenities such as bicycle and bicycle surrey rentals,
paddle boat rentals and many walking paths to walk-off your lunch.
ALL MIATA CLUB MEMBERS ARE INVITED, BUT, YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR THE PICNIC IN ORDER
TO GET A CORRECT HEADCOUNT FOR LUNCH.
If you are planning on bringing any guests, you may do so at a cost of $10.00 per person.

This is the formal announcement for the Miatas at Myrtle Beach IV Event! Sponsored by the Triad Miata Club.
Here's the details:
- 1. The dates will be March 25-28, 2010 (Although you can show up as early as you'd like)
- 2. We will be staying at the Sea Mist Resort
(we looked into other facilities and nobody could compete with what the Sea Mist can provide in terms of price,
parking, safety, amenities, etc...)

We have already secured goodies from a lot of vendors to give away as door prizes.

- Car Show in the Clouds (up on top of the parking deck, we will once again be handing out a lot of special rophies)
Proceeds to go to charity – TBD Raffle (we will have a special item to raffle off – proceeds to go to charity – TBD)
- Miata Scramble (get your raffle tickets at several designated locations around Myrtle Beach.
Each ticket is a chance to win a door prize)
- Track Day (Hot Laps at Myrtle Beach Speedway [no pace car!], Autocross, and Drag Racing)
Words cannot express how much fun this was last year!
- Miata Cruise (same day as track day, so everyone has something to do)
- Beer Swap (Bring your local brew for a fun night of swapping and tasting various beers from around the country)
Putt Putt Tournament (All proceeds benefit charity – TBD)
- 8. We have already secured many discount coupons for area restaurants and attractions,
which will all be included in your registration goody bag.
You will also receive special vouchers for $5 breakfasts at the Sea Mist breakfast bar.
(normally $8.50 and worth every penny)
- 9. The hospitality tent will be open for the entire event!
There you can get information on the goings on, and grab a free soda-pop, water and bag of chips.
- 10. If your club would like to set up a 10 x 10 tent, please let us know.
We have to get a permit which includes the amount of tents we are allowed to set up.

This year could be a record for us, as last year we had over 260 registered cars!
Most cars came with two people, so you do the math. This year we're hoping to make it even bigger!
There is ample (covered) parking, and security to watch your car around the clock.
There are restaurants on site and free wifi. They will once again have the buckets and rags ready for us when we arrive,
so you can detail your baby as soon as you pull in!
